We were really surprised when we arrived at the hotel late in the evening and were upgraded to a spacious and well-equipped superior room. The complimentary secure parking right next to our room was convenient and gave us peace of mind. The hotel staff were friendly and provided us with valuable information about Rome. We also found the 3-day excursion ticket we bought from reception to be excellent value, as it covered various modes of transportation. The hotel even offered free transportation to and from the train station upon request. The breakfast provided was great and the free Wi-Fi connection was reliable. The size of the rooms was really good and allowed for plenty of natural light and fresh air. Despite some reviews mentioning cleanliness issues, we found the hotel to be normally clean. The location of the hotel, although not close to downtown, provided an authentic experience living among locals. we had a good stay at Castle Hotel and would highly recommend it as a base to explore Rome.
